Where did the Gentiles come from??
#1
I have been reading a lot of post about non Jews and gentiles..But where did they come from?? Specifically if Adam and Eve were the first persons, and secondly, If Noah was the only supposed surviver of the flood?? SO, where and who were the gentiles?

Noah was accomanied by his wife, three sons and their wives. He was not the "sole survivor"... cf: Gen 6 CJB

Perchance, the 'Non-Jew' may well be a descendant of one of the other eleven tribes of Israel, and the 'Gentile' comes from the 'other' brothers and sisters of the families of Noah, who were not in the 'line' that generated Isreal.

I am working on the premise that no one else survived the 'Flood,' as a one year swim would probably make it impossible not to become fish-food.  Just a Ha Ha thought.

The Gentiles come from Adam and Eve..throught to Noah...through to Abraham....

Abraham is the father of the Jews and the Arabs so says the scripture...
Abraham was a Chaldean called out by God to go to a land that God woulld show him.

Until Abraham's covenant with God all were Gentiles.

Everyone was "gentile" until God called Abraham OUT. When God chose Abraham, made the promises, the covenants, etc., THAT was the beginning of the Hebrew people. Not the other way around.

Goyim means nations in Hebrew.  So that means all nations that are not national Israel.  National Israel was born when the went through the red sea.

But even before that God's blessing was on Jacob and not Esau.  So Jacob is the father of National Israel, and everyone who is not his progeny is a Gentile.

Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and to them were sons born after the flood.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

~Genesis 10:1-5~
