How to be saved
#1
Smile
Some say "ask Jesus into your heart and you will be saved" others say pray the sinners prayer ... there is no scripture for this...

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;but he that believeth not shall be damned

As the above scriptures show baptism was commanded to be saved...
now the question arises what is the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Ghost?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost

Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you,and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call

As can be seen baptism in Jesus was a COMMAND not an option and it was in HIS NAME not TITLES.

All through the book of Acts people were Baptized in Jesus name...the eunuch...Cornelius and his family among others.

Without baptism in Jesus name you can't recieve the infilling of the Holy Ghost which is Jesus in us changing us to be more lilke Him every day.

Father = Jesus
Son     = Jesus
Holy Ghost = Jesus
One Lord,One Faith,One Baptism

May the Peace of the Lord Jesus be upon you

What about people in places without water? Or should baptism with fire as John explained it not be taken seriously? Don't scare people into water baptism. I was baptized as a baby in a Roman Catholic church and was saved years later.

There are more scriptures for water baptism than anything else...
Cornielius's family was baptised(in water)
the Eunuch said to Phillip..."Here is water what hindereth me" and was baptised in WATER by Phillip in the Desert...
Water baptism is not optional it is a commandment...
Even those that got the Holy Ghost before baptism were baptised after.

You just testified aginst your argument. Baptism in water is important, but whether or not you were baptized in the Holy Spirit counts.

If as you say baptism by the Holy Ghost is all that counts...then explain why Cornelius and his family were baptised in water..why it was important for the followers of John the Baptist to be baptised in water.
IF as you say being filled with the Holy Ghost is All that is required then why did Peter say "Be baptised in Jesus Name for the remission of sins and ye will be filled with the Holy Ghost...."  first comes baptism then comes infilling....If G*D chooses to fill a man/woman with the Holy Ghost first they still have to be baptised in water..ie.Cornelius' family

Peace of Jesus be upon you..

Talk to people who live in waterless or low-water places, or who can't get baptized by water for legal or safety reasons.

'water' is the word of god. jesus is the man on the river and the source of the water. that river flow down off the holy mountain of god which is the knowledge of him and that the gospel.  just as jesus was baptised in the physical river, the water baptism symbolize the spiritual river of his word. when one baptises in this river, which is the word, they are IN THE NAME. as i think you were saying, the name of jesus in context doesnt mean his title or moniker, it refers to his holy spirit which is the name you cannot speak. (the length of it would circumnavigate the globe.)

gods image he protects and in the scripture, god shows us what his name is when he says that israel defiled it by setting bad example. he took away ten tribes for this sin. gods holy name, with jesus, refers to his image. it is the image of god that the people defiled...." because men will say of me, 'what god is this that would be god of a lawless people' ". god defended his image by showing all men that he does not tolerate sin even by his own people. of course you know the rest....he remove his protection and allowed assyia to sack them. then he turns and sacks assyrai so that his name would not be defiled again,....." because men will say, 'what god is this that would allow the assyrians to destroy his people' ".

AS YOU ARE POINTING OUT...IT IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BAPTISED IN THE NAME.

you can dunk yourself all day and all night but if your not baptised in the spirit of the true god, then you are not baptised.

Name you cannot speak...says who exactly....The Holy Ghosts name is Jesus Christ....
You can make up any theology you like but Peter,Philip and all the deciples and everyone after them baptised new believers in water by immersion after Repentance then they were filled with the HOLY GHOST evidenced with speaking in tongues...
Sometimes people as in the case of Cornelius were filled with the HOLY GHOST first but they were still baptised by immersion in water in the NAME of JESUS CHRIST and no one ever heard of a trinity until it was made up by the Roman Church at the council of Nicea in the 6th Century to please Augustine's pagan followers and get them to become antichristians which they are to this day.

prophet,
Even Baptistic, who is an Unitarian, is defending the argument I gave you. Consider who's presenting what.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
proving what exactly?
Jesus himself told Nicodemus "except a man be born of the water and the spirtit he can in no way see God"
No  repentance and baptism in Jesus Name by immersion...No washing away of sin no infilling of the Holy Ghost..
Acts 2:38 is a commandment of God given by Peter under the unction of the Holy Ghost.
As for as you seem to put it millions who don't agree no big deal
Elijah stood alone against the prophets of Baal and all the people of Israel over whose God was more powerful...so I'm in good company.
We'll soon know whether baptism is necessary or not when the rapture occurs.

May the peace of the Lord be upon you
